Dream It Do It Virginia (DIDIVA) Coordinator


Description:    This position will serve as the coordinator for all workforce development services of DIDIVA. These services will include but not be limited to: develop, implement and monitor DIDIVA Assets for support to Career Coaches; Coordinate Advanced Manufacturing Camps; assist with raising scholarship funds; coordinate volunteers used in Advanced Manufacturing Camps; train partners on camp techniques; promote and coordinate DIDIVA Licenses; coordinate National Manufacturing Day activities; coordinate with manufacturers to include company profiles on DIDIVA Career Information System (CIS); manage and update DIDIVA online presence and report performance to VMA and partners. The Coordinator will also provide consultative and administrative support to DIDIVA/MSI events and internal operations as needed.  The position will have responsibility for monthly reporting on core activities. 


Hours:            Part-time (20 hours per week);


Supervisor:    Victor Gray, VMA Workforce Solutions Director



      Dream It Do It Virginia Network (70%)

  • Direct and develop the DIDIVA CIS and operations, including the relationship management with the National Association of Manufacturers, Manufacturing Skills Institute and all partners (VA and Nationally)
  • Manage DIDIVA CIS technology platform with vendors
  • Assist in the development of marketing collateral to effectively “message” to targets
  • Develop and manage a tactical marketing plan and revenue forecast


      Events (10%)

  • Assist with the content development, sponsorship, communications and logistics for targeted VMA/MSI Events (Town Halls, Forum, VMA Workforce Solutions Committee activities) in cooperation with the MSI Workforce Solutions Director and VMA Member Services Director
    • Provide logistical support for events, including hotel/venue relations
    • Manage conference materials and program distribution


            Mission Support (5%)

  1. Client and Member services
  2. ACT! CRM support
  3. Administrative support


Marketing/Communications Assistance (10%)

  1. Support marketing for all DIDIVA and MSI marketing programs
  2. Support marketing to Members and Non-Members to Recruit Registrants for Seminars, Workshops, Summits, Symposium and Conferences
  3. Develop copy and assist with editing on all marketing and information resources


            Reporting (5%)

  1. Assist in monthly sales reporting
  2. Assist in MSI and DIDIVA performance reporting



  • $15-$25 per hour ­ 



Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Experience:


  • Software:  Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel; Sage, ACT!; ConstantContact; WordPress
  • Previous Experience:  Strong Customer service; account management; event/meeting support; career coach; sales or fund raising
  • Interpersonal:  Good speaking voice; attention to detail; results oriented; team player
  • Associates degree or higher
